Eyewear lenses are made of a polycarbonate material that provide 99.9% UV protection. Jackson Safety’s (including the Smith & Wesson brand) eyewear meets ANSI Z87.1+ Standards: The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) set forth requirements for the design, construction, testing, and use of eye protection devices, including standards for impact and penetration resistance. Requirements include, but are not limited to, durability, easy to clean, reasonably comfortable, secure fit, fit over, or incorporate, prescription eyewear and, most importantly, provide adequate protection against the hazards for which they are designed.
