Adapter Mount Picatinny Rails fasten to the accessory mount points on the sides of Mesa Tactical High-tube and Low-tube telescoping stock adapters, not on the shotgun receiver. They can also be used with our Barrel Clamps and Magazine Clamps, which feature the same mounting hole pattern as our stock adapters. Standard profile rails like the Stubby adhere to the minimum height requirement of the MIL-STD-1913 specification, and should not be used for mounting optics with the High-tube telescoping stock adapters. Tall profile rails are designed to mount optics for use with High-tube telescoping stock adapters, or to mount accessories slightly away from the receiver when fastened to the telescoping stock adapter side accessory mount points. When used for optics, the elevation of the tall profile rails is similar to that of a flat top AR-15. This standard profile rail features attachment points along the length of the rail.
