Xtreme Visibility knows about safety standards. Under the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, employers are responsible for providing safe and healthful workplaces for their employees. OSHAs role is to assure the safety and health of Americas working men and women by setting and enforcing standards; providing training, outreach and education; establishing partnerships; and encouraging continual process improvement in workplace safety and health. To that end, a voluntary industry consensus standard has been developed that specifies the requirements for high-visibility safety apparel. The American National Standard For High- Visibility Safety Apparel (ANSI/ISEA 107-2004) is the authoritative guide for design, performance specifications and use of high-visibility and reflective apparel including vests, jackets, and pants. Garments that meet this standard can be worn 24 hours a day to provide users with a high level of conspicuity on job sites. Since 1999, private industries, as well as various federal, state and local authorities have recognized this standard.
